Introduction


Training is essential to Employees as well as the Organization. Employee training is when people learn the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and behavior needed to perform their job effectively. When successful candidates are placed on the job, they need the training to perform their duties effectively. "Training and development refer to educational activities within a company created to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees while providing information and instruction on how to perform specific tasks better" (Anon., 2021).

1. Training for new Responsibilities

On the job training is provided to employees to improve their skills and familiarize them with the current job role. It will broaden the knowledge to perform well to increase productivity. For employees who wish to move for new positions with new responsibilities within the organization, Training and Development are effective.

Training and Development programs update employee knowledge on the related industries such as newly implemented regulations, quality standards, market growth or government policy on industries. It helps to expert technical skills of the employees. Practicing these techniques lead to better performance and encourage innovations.

3. Adapting to the new work environment

Employee’s work roles became more complicated with the pandemic. Most of the field employees and office staff were shifted to remote work. training and development support the employees to adjust to the new work environment with new techniques and resources. Also, to use equipment, manage network system or conduct virtual meetings.
